Begun in 1965 by a group of community leaders and family members, Streator Unlimited, Inc. has grown to offer vocational training and residential services in five locations within the Streator area.

 

Our Misson: Streator Unlimited, Inc. is committed to enriching the lives of adults with disabilities by teaching skills that will enable them to reach their fullest potential, live as independently as possible, and become integrated into the community.

 

SU provides 24-hour residential supports, intermittent residential supports, HUD-subsidized apartment rental, community employment services, sheltered work and day-program services. We are accredited by CARF and licensed by the Illinois Department of Human Services. Please go to our "Documents and Reports" section to review our survey reports and Quality Assurance data.

 

SU is funded to provide services by the Illinois Department of Human SErvices, the LaSalle County 708 Mental Health Board, Streator Area United Way, the SU Foundation, subcontract work, and sales of products. SU also depends on the support of our community through direct dontations and through donations to the United Way and Streator Unlimited Foundations.
